The rest of the day went without interruption, as, due to some hasty rewriting, Eileen/Maggie had most of the lines, leaving T. J/Vince to fill in with a few yeahs, nahs and buts. The fatal tussle was filmed a good ten metres from the cliff edge, but with clever use of foreshortening it appeared that Maggie really was pushing her violent lover to his well-deserved death. The director called 'cut'and 'it's a wrap', and Eileen was whisked back to unit base to have her black eye removed.

To everyone's surprise, there was a police car waiting for Eileen when she got back to the hotel, and by the time Danny and Paul were sitting down for a fish supper on the Sliema waterfront Eileen was on a plane to London, accompanied by two British officers.
